HACCP is the abbreviation of "Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points". This abbreviation is used internationally for a system of preventive measures used for ensuring that foods and nutrients are safe in terms of human health, applied in all activities related to production, processing, storage, handling, carriage, and sale to the end user.
The HACCP system indicates the means and processes required to prevent against risks threatening the consumer, before they can become manifest. Above all, a properly implemented and functioning HACCP system reduces the risk to the consumer’s health and protects the manufacturer and vendor in the event of a damage claim for injury to health.
Certification of the HACCP system is always verified and awarded by qualified external auditors, on the basis of an audit of several days in all areas concerned by the system.
Since 2004, LEROS has held the HACCP certificate and the ISO 9001:2008, and in 2008, both certificates were successfully renewed in the re-certification process.
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for a Quality Management System (QMS). The standard sets out a system and set of rules that ensure a purposeful approach to the management of all parts of production and business activities, so as to ensure the satisfaction of every customer through the meeting of his requirements.
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practice. It is a system for managing an organisation, in particular as concerns product safety and a guarantee of quality guarantee for the end consumer. This system guarantees the quality, stability, and contents of effective substances in production.
LEROS manufactures fully in line with GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice.
